It is always best to give your dog small amounts of any new foods just in case they have an allergic reaction or food sensitivity. Peanut butter is an excellent treat for most dogs. It can be put inside rubber toys like Kong bones as a fun treat that will keep them entertained and away from your shoes. If your dog develops symptoms like itching, diarrhea, or flatulence, stop giving feeding it to them and see if symptoms reverse on their own. If so, there's an allergy there so best to avoid it.
