Is peanut butter unhealthy for my Dog?
I don't feed my Dog a lot of peanut butter at all, just a little treat now and again but want to make sure it's safe..

It is always best to give your dog small amounts of any new foods just in case they have an allergic reaction or food sensitivity. Peanut butter is an excellent treat for most dogs. It can be put inside rubber toys like Kong bones as a fun treat that will keep them entertained and away from your shoes. If your dog develops symptoms like itching, diarrhea, or flatulence, stop giving feeding it to them and see if symptoms reverse on their own. If so, there's an allergy there so best to avoid it. And as with humans, everything in moderation. Hope that helps.

Peanut butter is not poisonous to dogs, but that still doesn't mean it's good for them. It's the same as butter in that its very fattening to both people and dogs. It may be fine for your dog to eat a little bit as a treat now and again. Too much will cause sickness and obesity.
