I had a similar problem with one of my dogs. Every time she jumped up on me I turned my back on her, and I got other people to do the same. When she got bored of being ignored and sat down she got petted. She soon learned that sitting gets more attention than jumping. Now I have a dog that'll run up and sit in front of you looking for attention.

The thing is that you have to be consistant and persistant. Don't speak to her at all, even to tell her 'no' because any attention is what she wants, it doesn't matter if it's good or bad. Just turn your back on her. You may find that she starts to pester you even more, but that's just a desperate attempt to get attention so ignore it. Eventually she'll get bored and sit or stand, once all four paws are on the ground count to ten, then give attention. She'll soon realise that there are more rewards to being good and stop the bad beaviour.

It might take a few weeks, but bear with it. Good luck!

our dog was doing the same we started telling her no jumping with her name after this and it seems to have worked most off the time she ends up going further away from the person she is near or try using a toy just let her have it when a person comes along
