Hi there, unfortunately there is no vaccination for your problem! Boxers are quite prone to colitis etc.. and this can make them one of the more gassy breeds. I wonder what diet he is on? As with human food, certain dog foods tend to produce more gas than others. High levels of certain sugars/carbohydrates in the diet tend to cause more flatulence. You may find it helpful to feed your dog more little and often so that the bacteria in the gut do not have a feast also, do not have any sudden changes in diet this can cause the bacteia in the gut to produce alot of gas. There are certain foods that are designed to be very easily digestible for the gut and you might find one of these feeds better.- they would certainly be worth trying for a few weeks. Let me know what you're feeding him and good luck!

Love Gina's answer because that's exactly what I would recommend. One thing I could also suggest is putting essential oils in a spray bottle of water and spraying the carpet in the areas they like to scratch. Only 3-4 drops in a litre of water would do. Can't make it too strong as some oils are toxic to cats like Roman Chamomile. I'd say any citrus oils, lavender, or even eucalyptus would do the trick. A lovely combination is peppermint and rosemary. It's so earthy and refreshing. Great for Spring!

Hi there, yes I hear ya! Sometimes its strong enough to wake you from a deep sleep! I used to pet sit for 3 beautiful boxers and they all did the same. Boxers are actually No.4 on a list of the gassiest breeds. I've never heard of a vaccination, maybe briarhill vet can confirm that one. I don't think switching his foods will make that much of a difference either. I did find out though that beef is a worse odour than lamb. So maybe try lamb products for a while instead.
