Kitten has Diarrhea
My kitten is about 3 months old and she has very bad green colored diarrhea, sometimes it just leaks out and she can't make it to the litter box in time. What does this mean and how do I treat it?

I'm a Holistic Nutritionist that to me sounds like either a severe food allergy or a toxicity of some kind. Monitor your kitten to make sure she hasn't gotten into anything toxic like house cleaners or plants toxic to animals. If she has give her activated charcoal immediately and only water until the toxin is flushed out(she'll have black stool). I would also advise changing the food immediately and feed her either raw or steamed fish or chicken (not both) with some boiled brown rice or potato until the symptoms reverse. She may have a sensitivity to either chicken or fish so feed one for a few days and check her stool. If it seems to get worse switch to the other meat source. Add the amino acid Taurine, 250-500mg twice daily in her food. That will allow her to digest the homemade food properly. Once the diarrhea has stopped try to find a holistic food or watch my video on how to make Robbie's Holistic dog food into a cat food. It's in the video section on this website. Hope that helps. Please contact me to let me know how you get on. Good luck and God Bless

we have a kitten and when he had diarrhea we rang the vet and were advised to keep him away from other pets, clean surfaces that he has touched and not feed him overnight just give him water. then feed the next afternoon and he was fine afterwards.

good luck with that one
