Now and again jake would have a munch but now it's all the time. Whenever we go out for walks he seems more interested in eating grass. Has anyone else had this problem before? is it unhealthy and how do you make them stop!!

My maltese has started munching on grass a lot more recently too! maybe its something to do with this good weather??!

Hi it depends if your dog is gobbling it down or just chewing on it. If your dog is chewing the grass she may just have a craving for it, if you want her to stop try giving her a bit of broccoli or other fiberous vegetable. If she is gobbling it down she may feel sick, all dogs eat grass when their tummy is upset as it makes them vomit. If this is happening take her to the vet. I have a puppy at the moment and I think she just eats grass sometimes to explore it! It's nothing to worry about though! Seems to be fine, I checked it with the vet and she said as long as his diet hasn't changed and he's fit and healthy its no harm. Guess I will just keep an eye on it. Thanks for your help

dogs usually eat grass when they have an upset stomach. have you changed his food lately??

OBI eats grass all the time.
i have been to the vets 3 times to get him checked but she is happy with everything.
i think he is to skinny but his weight 34kg is really good for 11 months old.
might try giving him some greens for dinner.
