Pet Product Review - Indestructible Dog Toys
Written by King of Canine Gossip on Friday, 10 September 2010If your dog is anything like my dog, Jesse the only thing she loves more than a new toy is immediately ripping it to shreds. When you've got a high-energy pooch on your hands who likes to give her jaws a workout, you want toys that are built to last. Here, I put five "indestructible" dog toy products to the Jesse test!

The Ball: The orbee was Jesse's favorite by far and dispite having played with it constantly for the last couple of weeks, Jesse still hasn't damaged hers. About the size of a tennis ball, smells like mint and very durable. Overall 10/10 for this one.

The Treat Toy: Shaped like an acorn, you screw off the top and insert treats and then your dog has to shake the treats out of the toy through a hole in the bottom. My Jesse enjoyed this but my girl is way to clever and had the lip off in no time. Good fun as long as cap dosen't come off, we're giving this one a 6/10!
The Tug-of War Toy: The Ruff Dawg Super Tug is a soft rubber tug toy for medium and larger dogs. Around nine inches square and shaped like a clover. Jesse enjoyed getting her teeth around this one and reckon it would make a great alternative to skirting boards for teething puppies. As far as 'Indestructible' goes, Jesse had this torn to pieces within a week. Still we're giving it a respectable 7/10!
The Throw Toy: Smaller than your average frisbee, made out of nylon and get this! if you reverse it over, it doubles as a water dish. Pawsome! As for durablity, this thing is indestructible. No really, a massive dog who loves to chomp their way through toys will not destroy this bad boy. Jesse prefers chasing balls so wasn't a huge fan of this so for that reason we're giving it a 6/10.
The Squeak and Fetch Toy: The Air Dog Squeaker Donut Toy is great for those tennis ball obsessed dogs who love retrieval games like my Jesse. Made from tough tennis ball material with an inbuilt squeaker. Floats in water so perfect for fun games at the beach or lake. Jesse found the squeaker noise irresistible, so much so I had to hide it when we got home! Not as indestructible as some of the others as its covered with fabric but still we had lots of fun with this one. WOW!! 9/10
