Cory Byrne, 34, died Wednesday night after his 9-foot, 25 pound pet boa constrictor suffocated him to death.
It's reported that Byrne had been showing the snake to a friend when it wrapped around his shoulders and neck and squeezed. Officers and paramedics were called to Byrne's apartment in suburban Omaha around 5pm in the afternoon and found the man unconscious on the ground with the snake still wrapped around his neck. Byrne died in hospital hours after police pried the snake from it's owner.
