Millionaire PetsWritten by King of Canine Gossip on Thursday, 08 July 2010
Millionaire heiress, Gail Posner made news recently after she left $3 million to her chihuahuas, Conchita, Lucia and April Marie.
Their inheritance included diamond accessories and an $8 million mansion in Miami complete with live-in caretaker who she also left millions to. This is not the first time pets have struck gold, here are a few similar stories we uncovered:
$80 million chimp: Patricia O'Neill famously left from between £40 million to £53 million to a chimp named Kalu who she rescued in Zaire, South Africa in the 1980's. Patricia's husband Frank was not as keen on the chimp as Kalu was in the habit of smoking his cigarettes and drinking his beer!
$30 million pooches: Animal lover, Oprah Winfrey has reportedly allocated $30 million in her will to the care and welfare of her dogs after her death.
$12 million Maltese: A lucky Maltese named Trouble was left $12 million by her owner, Leona Helmsley aka ''Queen of Mean'' after she decided to completely cut several grand children out of her will!
Do you think this is right, and if you have oodles and noodles of money would you leave to your pet?
