We love all animals but boy we have to admit some of them are UGLY!! Here's a closer look at our top 5 ugliest animals on the planet...

Aye-aye (image above)
This little guy looks like a family member of the gremlins. The aye-aye is native to Madagascar, they're nocturnal only comimg out at night and use their witch like bony fingers to dig out insects and grubs from tree trunks. 


Naked Mole Rat
Luckily for us humans these guys live mostly underground in insect-like colonies, a rats is scary enough never mind a bald one! An interesting fact about the naked mole rat is they are among the longest living of all rodents (some can live for up to 30 years) now that's impressive.





Proboscis Monkey
This monkey would leave Pinocchio out of a job! Turns out the lady monkeys love big bulbous noses and the bigger the better.   



California Condor
The California Condor is one of the world's rarest birds and the largest flying land bird in North America and now officially one of the ugliest! Since this bird is a scavenger and feeds on large prey it has had to adapt. Feathers would get in the way and collect blood during feeding, hence the bald feather less head.  



Blobfish
Yes it kind of reminds us of a big bogie too! Hard to believe it's a living creature but this blobfish lives deep in the ocean and because of its gooey blobby flesh it can reach depths many other sea creatures would not survive. Ugly but very smart!
