John Travolta's Two Dogs Killed at Maine Airport
Written by King of Canine Gossip on Wednesday, 19 May 2010More than a year after his tragically died while on a family holiday in the Bahamas, John Travolta's family is facing heartache again. Two of his dogs were struck by a service truck as they were being walked on the tarmac at an airport in Maine.
A source explained the dogs were both on leashes while being walked and were making their way to some grass when the driver of an airport truck did not see them and both were hit. One of Travolta's staff who was walking the dogs was unharmed. In a statement, the city of Bangor said, ''An airport service pickup truck was approaching the airplane to service the airplane and did not see the dogs. Unfortunately, the dogs were struck and killed.
The airport is investigating the accident. Out of respect for the family's privacy the city will make no further comment." Airport Director Rebecca Hupp told the newspaper: "Clearly, this is an unfortunate accident. Our deepest sympathies are with the family.”
