Comet, a five year old rescued greyhound won over judges with his beaming smile and was crowned winner of the Superstar Smiles Photo Contest...
Five-year-old Comet was a racing dog until he broke his leg and despite many surgeries the greyhound never fully recovered. Barbara Masi, president of the Greyhound Pets of America came to Comet's rescue and now lives at her forever home with seven other rescued dogs. Masi knew from the first moment he was a very special dog and soon launched his second career as an 'Ambassadog'. Comet visits children at schools across the Florida state teaching them about kindness to animals. "Comet is such a good sport," Masi said. "Everyone just loves him."
Masi is also proud of Comet's honor as the winner of the Superstar Smiles Photo Contest, saying, "I am thrilled he won! It couldn't have happened to a more deserving dog." Comet was chosen from almost 2,000 photo entries sent in from across the US and will now be the face of a new campaign for Petrodex Pet Dental products. We think Comet has true star quality!
