We are parrot owners, breeders and a parrot rescue located in Westmeath, Ireland. Our flock currently consists of 2 african greys, Liath and Oisin, A rescue B&G, Éalú, a rescue caique, Beaker and a little rescue budgie we called 'Dodgy'.

Éalú is a rescued Blue and Gold Macaw. Here is her story...
Éalú is approximately 2 years old and was rescued last November. She had been housed in a cage outdoors with no protection from wind, rain or weather.

She was grossly underweight, and had serious problems with both of her feet. The avian vet she attended thought it was probably frost bite. Many vet visits later, Éalú has full use of both feet and is only missing one nail on one foot. Pretty remarkable recovery!!!

Éalú had her foot in a compression bandage and a cast to try to keep the swelling down. Her cage had to be modified to allow her to lie on her belly as she couldnt bear any weight on her feet. We built shelves instead of perches for her.  Éalú today! Is a fun loving, beautiful bird!!!
